Annual Club Meeting

Bear Heaven Campground
Otter Creek Wilderness, WV
July 30th, 2022

The 2022 Annual Club Meeting is returning to an in-person event this year! This year’s event is held at the Bear Heaven Campground at Otter Creek Wilderness which lies in a bowl formed by Shavers Mountain and McGowan Mountain. Club members, please join us at this free club event for a day of running, fellowship, and club related meetings. These trails are often wet and muddy, so bring a change of clothes and shoes.

This is a WVMTR Club Event that has no registration fee, but participants must register on RunSignUp so there is an e-signed waiver and emergency information available. Members and non-members are welcome!

Joining WVMTR is not necessary to participate in this event, but we encourage you to support our events by becoming members. Yearly membership is only $10 and allows us to offer these wonderful free club events. Become a member today at RunSignUp or visit our membership page to learn more!

The day begins by doing what we do best, with a trail run! A 10 mile run is planning starting from the Bear Haven Campground. Shorter runs may be chosen by driving to the Otter Creek Trailhead and running an out-and-back. Afterwards, lunch is shared before getting into the meeting. The past year’s races, events, and stats are discussed. It is at this meeting where financial reports, RD race reports, and club suggestions are presented.
