With Matt Young and Dan Todd exiting board positions, we likely need to review our signatory permissions with Huntington Bank. Lauren, do you have any thoughts surrounding this topic?

Are we married to Huntington? My first thought (open for discussion) is to switch to a more common bank. Maybe is it just me, but there isn't a Huntington within an hour of my house.

In my experience, the signers are the President, VP, and treasurer. However, this club does things differently and it has never been an issue in the past. Who are the signers right now besides Dan?

I do think we should remove anyone not on the board (except for Dan) for safety.

@laurbeam20, I believe we went with Huntington Bank -- way back when -- because there was access in Elkins and in the Kanawha Valley.  I was under the impression that it was a more common bank. ???  It is where I bank personally though.

With that said, I'm not so sure that we have to stay committed to that bank, but I also don't see great impetus to change.

I believe that Dan Lehmann, Dan Todd, possibly Matt, and myself are recorded as signers with our Huntington account.  I also agree that it is beneficial to keep Dan Lehmann on as a signer.  He still does much for the club and the board behind the scenes.

I'll do some digging to see who has signatory authority.

I have no great reason to leave Huntington either if it is common to others.

I would like to be added as a signer but I can make a stop sometime when traveling through and meet someone.

What is the process to get people removed as signers?  Not that I’ll think Matt Young or Dan Todd will do anything wrong, but I agree with Lauren that only board members and Dan Lehmann should be signers on the account.  Makes sense to me to have the President, VP and treasurer as signers.  Do we need more, or would that suffice?

Andrew, did we get you added?  I can't recall.

@charleannej, Dan/I will contact Huntington Bank to initiate the process.  Likely, President, VP, and Treasurer (along with Lehmann) is enough.  I've had signing authority for likely a decade and I don't recall ever needing to do anything.  Lehmann has the checkbook and takes care of that service when necessary (which is also fairly rare).  I agree, it's low risk having Dan Todd and Matt Young still listed, but we do need to keep our banking authorities in order.

I wasn't able to get in touch with Lehmann today, but I will and circle back with a plan to get Lauren added and Matt/Dan removed.

Once Matt and Dan are removed, would we also need to cancel their business debit cards and get a new business debit card for use between Jason (Muddy Mutt), Mike (Sasquatch), and myself (KT)?

@bob-luther, are the cards actually in their name?  I've only ever used the card that is in Dan Lehmann's name.

@bob-luther, then yes, we will have to have new cards issued.  I will explore options and circle back to the board via email with next steps.  Would you be willing to have a card in your name Bob?
