West Virginia Mountain Trail Runners
A Mountain State of Running
Please give us a report Lauren. After Lauren gives her report, I would entertain a motion and a second to accept.
Cash balances as of 10/17 are as follows:
Money Market: $53535.41
Checking: $38508.08
Savings: $1511.08
Total: $93554.57
The expense google doc is updated to 9/23 if you could go claim expenses I will get some financials completed.
I don't have a lot to report today. If we compare cash to 9/30/2023 we are up in 20204 by around $4500, so we are on par with the usual.
I would also like to take a moment to apologize for my slow response to emails in 2024. We have not broadcasted it online, nor do we ever plan to, but our son born in June was born with a disability and we have had a bit of a hard year. We are doing better, he is doing amazing, and we have a plan of action now, so I should be better going forward, but I wanted to provide some context if I missed an email from you.
Please let me know if you have any questions, happy to dig in further to the finances.
@laurbeam20, Thanks Lauren. No apologies necessary. You are doing an amazing job and haven't let us down a bit. We all appreciate you and your contributions greatly!
@laurbeam20 I concur with Adam, you’re doing great and we’re thankful to have you and your CPA skills!
Do we have a motion to accept?
I 2nd the motion to accept the Treasurer report.
I know we discussed at the 2024 Annual Meeting that the money market was NOT making much money, and in fact we were losing $5 per year? Do I recall that correctly?
Any thoughts on moving the money to a regular savings account? I have a high yield savings account at PNC that earns 4.25% APY. There may be a maximum balance limit though.
@arhodes5, I'll take the blame on this one. I never followed-up with Huntington Bank, but will call and discuss options soon.
