Registration opens April 1st, 2024. Preregistration is available online and on race day in front of the Helvetia post office.
Participation in the Kids Fun Run is free, parent must register their child online or on race day.

Kids Fun Run
It is wonderful seeing the young runners put their toes to the line and run with abandon. The 1/4 mile Kids Fun Run is for children ages 10 and younger. This event is free, but parents must complete a registration form for their child.
2M Walk
The 2M walk is a non-competitive opportunity to tour sections of Helvetia and have some fun.
BlackHel Double
In coordination with the Blackwater Canyon Half Marathon, we’re continuing the BlackHel Double! This is a two part racing event. First complete athe point-to-point route from Thomas, WV to Mill Race Park in Parsons, WV on Saturday. Then travel to Helvetia on Sunday and finish the 10k Mountain Run. Finishers of both races receive a special hat with the BlackHel Double logo. Awards will be given out at the conclusion of the Helvetia 10 Mountain Run. No additional purchase necessary.
Unfortunately, the 2024 Blackwater Canyon Half Marathon was cancelled. The 2024 Tygart Valley Half Marathon is substitute for the Blackwater Canyon Half Marathon. We hope to return to the Blackwater Canyon Half Marathon in 2025.
Packet Pick Up
Race t-shirts are guaranteed for the 10k and 2M participants if registered before August 25th, 2024. The t-shirt features a coat of arms from a different canton of Switzerland each year. T-shirts are white, but every five-years is a red t-shirt. Receive your bib number for the 10k, 2M, and Kids Fun Run along with a t-shirt at the following location.

Additional Information
The Helvetia 10K Mountain Run is in association with the annual Helvetia Community Fair. The fair on Saturday celebrates our Swiss heritage and has something for everyone: a home grown parade, traditional song and dance programs, arts and crafts, food, square dance and more!
