Welcome to the 23rd running of the Helvetia 10k Mountain Run!
Experience the authenticity of a Swiss mountain community at the Helvetia 10k Mountain Run. This race is located in Helvetia, West Virginia in southern Randolph County and coincides with the Helvetia Fair.
This race follows portions of an original Swiss settlement trail and passes right through the center of Helvetia. Beginning in 1998, this event was Jody and Dan Lehmann’s first attempt at race directing and served as the inspiration for what has become WVMTR. Each year, this race’s t-shirt features a coat of arms from a different canton — or territory — of Switzerland. Be on the lookout for the heraldic animal of the bear, featured on the Canton of Bern’s flag, standing perennial guard over Clay Hill!
New this year, the Black-Hel Double! Race Saturday in Thomas and Sunday in Helvetia and get a cool award! More information on the Details page.
