West Virginia Mountain Trail Runners
A Mountain State of Running
Any items of new or old business not addressed by the agenda?
I just received an email request from Dan Lehmann. The request is for monies to repair and update of two timing machines It will likely be over $300.
Timing is important! If they need fixed we should fix them. We have the funds.
As a side note, I believe that Dan and I are the only ones still timing our own races. The south races have migrated toward the ease of utilizing APT Timing and simply budget for it. It would not be cost effective to utilize them for the Trilogy and we have our system down at Highlands. We are committed to continuing to time our own events, so this investment is planned to be a long-term one.
Go for it on the timing issue repair.
I think it’s worthwhile to maintain the equipment. We are still timing our own races at the KT. I’ve been using UltraSignUp’s timing software for the 50K/25K/10K but may go back to using the machines for the smaller night races depending on how it goes in a couple of weeks.
We should review our procedures just so we all know the dollar amount required for board purchase approval for a none race expense. It has been a while.
I move that we approve up to $350 to fix the time equipment for the northern trailer.
@daniel, I was thinking it was $500, but am struggling to find the history for verification.
fine by me.
We have a motion to accept repair costs to timing equipment, up to $350. Is there a second?
