West Virginia Mountain Trail Runners
A Mountain State of Running
Can you please give us a report Matt. After Matt gives his report, I would entertain a motion and a second to accept his report.
Our 2020 Statement of Activity Summary is attached. A detailed report with each transaction is available upon request.
Current account balances total $95,813.42 with $49,630.70 in our money market, $44,822.28 in our checking and $1360.44 in our savings account.
Not surprisingly, we had loss of $6,813 in 2020. For the past several years we've averaged about $10,000 gain in our operations. Our races are generally profitable so without them we spent more than we had coming in. Some of our races had already spent money on the event before the event was cancelled but had to refund race fees. Highlands is one of the races that had more deferrals than refunds.
So our accounting will be a little odd for 2020 and 2021 as we had an abnormal loss in 2020 and we may have an abnormal profit in 2021 if we have our normal races. However, Frozen Sasquatch is one of the more profitable events and we lost that one for 2021.
I'm happy to answer questions.
Matt

I move that we accept the treasurer's report.
second. I do
We have a motion and a second. If there is no further discussion, we will vote at the conclusion of the meeting under Item 6.
